A recent New York Times article reported that prominent researchers from Harvard were found to misrepresent the amount of money paid to them by pharmaceutical companies. 

The fact that researchers have been funded by the pharmaceutical industry is not news. This has been happening for a long time and therefore, we should be very cautious about whose health information we listen to.   What makes this news, however, is the large sums of money that were under reported in this particular case and how they went about it. 

The moral to the story is to follow the money trial when possible and to be careful when deciding which studies to trust and who to listen to.
