The team at A Healthy View are not extreme. Each team member holds nutritional and health coaching qualifications – they are more than bloggers or chefs. They all have experience with corporate backgrounds, have busy families, and understand the needs of parents, kids, and busy executives. They are each evidence based authors and presenters, and their clinical experience with patients keeps them at the ‘coal face’ of how nutrition can treat and prevent illness. There may be many wellness practitioners stepping into the space of health and food but there are not many nutritionists who come from busy corporate backgrounds, have three kids and who really can understand modern day peoples’ requirements for health, happy hormones, and vitality.

Michele Chevalley Hedge was previously a marketing manager so she truly understands the needs of time-poor corporate executives who, family or not, want health but not hassle. She is often introduced by health magazine editors as “the modern day nutritionist – the one who likes a bit of wine and coffee.” She is not Paleo Pete or I Quit Sugar, but perfectly placed somewhere in the healthy middle.

Michele’s clinical practice and experience allow her to share stories of patients and their nutritional transformation which give the audience goose bumps - the kinds of stories that can only be heard if you are at the coal face with clients. Women who say their addiction to food caused their divorce; executives who say they don’t like going to the boardroom without her five top tips; and politicians, and their families, who come to her wellness retreats. Recognising her sensible approach to nutrition, four years ago, Wiley Publishing commissioned Michele to write Beating Sugar Addictions for Dummies. 

In 2019 life is busy, but the desire for a lean body, clear mind, sharp brain, and happy, balanced hormones are on the rise. Michele is a sought after presenter because she is authentic and connects to people who desire knowledge, but not in an overwhelming jargon filled way or with a fad diet.

Every week, Michele works with major banks in Australia - Westpac, CBA, ANZ, HSBC, and corporations like Apple, Dropbox, Dexus, News.com, MFAA, Women in Focus, ACCOR, Westfield, Department of Defence, Tourism Portfolio, Heart Research Australia, Cure Cancer, and schools and education events. She is the keynote speaker for the Heads of Schools of Australia and the Positive Schools Conference in Hong Kong. Michele is also an ambassador for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution and for the launch of THAT SUGAR FILM.

Michele is the Nature Care College Ambassador, Cure Cancer Ambassador and Heart Research Institute Ambassador and consults for 100’s on international corporations. She recently sat alongside the Dalai Lama at a conference where she presented on ‘Vitality, Energy and Serotonin - It’s all in Your Food’. Mental health and nutrition research is her passion and she often declares, “It makes the New Yorker come out in her."

When Michele is not out speaking, writing or seeing patients, she can often be found at her cafe, The Balmoral Boatshed. It is the perfect spot for filming, interviewing, or just enjoying a glass of wine (which she will tell you reduces your cortisol and can lead to a calmer, happier and perhaps leaner person!).

Michele loves to write, so along with her blog and social media, she writes for Body & Soul, Huffington Post, Mama Mia, The Glow, Prevention, Wellbeing, Clean, Cosmo, MindFood and many more. Michele’s first book, Beating Sugar for Dummies was published in 2013 and her current book, a #1 best seller, The Healthy Hormone Diet, was released a few months ago. Michele often appears on The Sunrise Show to discuss the World Health Organisation’s recommendations on nutrition, cancer and sugar.

Last year, Michele's business, A Healthy View, expanded to New York and the US with the addition of her online programs. Passionate, authentic and knowledgeable, Michele has several degrees and a diploma of Nutritional Medicine and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. Michele is an educator, storyteller, and passionate researcher.

She is the mother of three hungry teenagers, a busy husband, a messy home and a really dumb ( ‘but cute’) dog. Michele often weaves her personal life stories into her speaking engagements. She talks about her own adrenal fatigue after her younger brother died, only last year, from toxic fumes and lung cancer as a result of being a fireman on 9-11. She explains her personal experience of becoming a conscious cook when she sailed around the world for two years with her husband and baby. She concludes, “Life has many bumps, but with good nutrition, we can nourish a productive brain, a healthy body, and emotional stability”.

Simone Kopkas

Nutrition/Health Counsellor & Reiki Healer

Food changes everything!  As a Certified Nutrition / Health Counsellor, Energy Healer and loving mother of two, Simone specialises in digestive issues, fertility and cancer. She is passionate about working with adults and children to improve their health, vitality, balance and family life, in a way that suits their unique body, lifestyle and goals. Simone looks at the interconnectedness of the body, mind, emotions and spirit to help facilitate wellness by equipping people with the tools and knowledge to continue their journey of growth. She is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and the Australian Reiki Association. She loves speaking at schools, corporate events and running cooking classes and workshops.

Sara Millikin


Good nutrition is fundamental to our health and the key to looking and feeling energised.

Sara uses nutritional therapy to heal and promote optimal health and wellbeing. When you build a healthy relationship with wholesome foods you gain the benefits of increased energy, achieve your ideal weight and find a balance in all aspects of your life.0

An experienced consultant in nutritional medicine, Sara gained her qualifications at Nature Care College in Sydney and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). Sara’s interest in health and the impact of food developed in her late teens. Sara believes in fuelling our systems with the correct foods in order to function at an optimum level.

“My focus is geared towards digestive health, cleanse and detoxification programs, weight management, family health and sports nutrition. My aim is to boost energy levels, strengthen the immune system, reduce stress, calm the nerves, enhance exercise performance and establish good dietary habits, AND ABOVE ALL, to empower clients to facilitate their own healing through the education of wholefood and food choices.”

Diet analysis, treatment plans, meal planning and cleansing programs are all part of the process towards taking charge of your own health and feeling well, to face the challenges that modern-day life present.

Sara has a special interest in sports nutrition having been involved in sports all her life, including actively training in master swim squads and competing in ocean swim. She has two children who compete at a national level. Sara considers the link between sporting success, good health and nutrition to be vital, fuelling her active involvement in sports nutrition and performance over many years.

Ciana Mandelson

Nutritionist (BHSc)

Calling herself a “perfectly imperfect” Nutritionist and being a busy Mama to two spirited little girls, Ciana has a deep understanding of how important it is for family nutrition to be simple, straightforward and achievable for busy parents.

Ciana graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health with her Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine and a Certificate in Paediatric Nutrition from Monash University, she is also a member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA). Ciana is passionate about prenatal care, fertility, children’s health and managing teenage hormones by taking a food first approach with balance and understanding of the individual.

A fierce advocate for food liberation and body liberation, Ciana is a firm believer of feeding the soul and enjoying life’s indulgences minus the guilt so often attached. With the ever-changing ideals of health within society, Ciana feels that striving for perfection is not always beneficial for mental or physical health. Ciana is focused on making simple changes to diet and lifestyle, helping her clients to improve their overall health and wellbeing without feeling a sense of deprivation, with an approach that helps makes long term changes more achievable.

When not in clinic, Ciana loves doing a Coastal Bushwalk around the stunning Sydney foreshore, she also enjoys regular pilates and yoga sessions and exploring the world around her with her two daughters - or you might find her curled up with a good book and a peppermint tea (or a glass of red wine once the kids are in bed!).
