  1. Tell us a little bit about yourself – who you are and what you do.

Hi there.  I am Michele … A qualified “nut” as my kids would say.  I am a nutritional medicine practitioner, food lover, mum of three kids & a (dumb, but cute) dog, health author and presenter.  I am wildly passionate about ‘nutritional transformation’…. it is amazing how powerful food can be on our mental and physical health.

  1. What was the ‘uh ha’ moment that inspired you to get in to health and wellbeing?

Despite ending up in the corporate world as a marketing manager for Microsoft, I always wanted to be a GP. My love of health; creating health, researching health and sheer love of food, created the perfect foundation to become a nutritionist.  I grew up in an Italian family in New York.  A home where ‘food is love.”

  1. Talk us through a typical day in your life

5:30am – Wake to my husband boiling the jug. Grab a cuppa and we are both out the door to exercise. It might be a spin class, KX Pilates, Yoga, or a walk with a friend and the dog. There is always something to keep my body moving and to capture some fresh air. I Grab a piccolo latte on the way home.  Check that all my kiddies are good, laundry is on, house is tidy and make myself a super quick breakfast. I love the humble egg they’re my favourite.  will have them poached or boiled and add the leftover sweet potatoes from the night before along with any other veggies. I will add pesto, salsa, or just plain avo! I love breakfast. Then I am off to work.  At a corporate workspace, a school or my clinics where we see patients.  Sometimes I am just at my home office writing something for a new book or a health book or blog.  Lunch is 90% of the time something I cooked the night before. If I am in the CBD, I will seek out Thr1ve as I was involved in their business and meal plans in the early days and they still are scrumptious. I drink lots of tea during the day especially in the winter! Ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon and anything that is strong and makes my taste buds dance. I dislike green tea, but I drink it with the disguise of another flavourful tea bag!  Dinner is so important to me on many levels. It is about the family coming together and chatting, laughing, debating, or just plain downloading. There is always an abundance of vegetables with lots of spice coupled with a quality protein. I always make enough for leftovers. I snuggle into bed by 9:30PM every night.

  1. Coffee or tea?

Both.  I love one good coffee a day and love a cuppa too.

  1. What is your indulgence of choice?

Pinot Noir.

  1. Three foods you can’t live without?

Eggs, avo, and flaxseeds.

  1. What’s your go-to snack for those days on the run?

Bliss balls …at A Healthy View we have about a 100 versions of balls made of coconut, nuts, and a few other bits and bobs that are scrumptious.

  1. … And any last words of advice or tips for those starting out on their health journey?

Yes, keep going. There is so much room in this ‘nutritional garden’ to be done.  Come join us.  I love sharing.  I love helping. I love encouraging people to be brave.  We have one short, fabulous life! To see more of Michele, check out her Instagram!
